Tired of supermarket hummus? Why not make your own? Get a simple recipe here.


(Makes about 4 servings)

1 Can of Chickpeas or Garbanzo beans

4 Tbsp Tahini

2 Tbsp Olive Oil

Juice of 1 lemon

1 Garlic Clove

1 tsp of Cumin

1/2 tsp Salt

1 Cucumber Cut in Slices


  1. Drain the can of chickpeas or beans and rinse well under cold water
  2. Next, add all the ingredients to a food processor. Pulse until mixture is creamy
  3. Spread the hummus on the cucumber slices
  4. Store the remaining hummus in an airtight container and refrigerate
