I am a married working mother of two who has a passion for eating and living using products that are as close to nature as possible. I try to make my own products and cook from scratch when possible, but I am not against buying commercial products, I just try to consume products that are not heavily processed. I live in the United States and being a working mom present many challenges for living healthier because of time constraints. I am respectful of various lifestyle choices, for example, vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians and meat eaters. I myself am a meat eater, although I do try and limit my meat choices to fish and chicken. I spend a lot of whatever spare time I have to research foods and ingredients. I make a lot of meals from scratch and try to limit pre-made or ‘pour and cook’ options.

I also want to add that while I try and buy some organic products, watch and monitor the ingredients of products that I consume, I don’t do this perfectly. As previously stated, I am a working mother and there are times I buy fast food or frozen foods. I have not found it possible to eliminate all kinds of processed items from my life, make all my meals from scratch, work and manage a household. My philosophy in life is that there are not many life choices that are all or nothing. Often times, slowly changing your life is more effective than striving for a dramatic and overnight change.

I have created this website to share my findings through research or my own experience. I am also aware that many ingredients are controversial, but I will provide my own opinion and leave you, the reader, to assess whether it is right for your own family.

Finally, I want it to be clear that products I recommend are ones I have used or would use for my family.
